How does the commission process work?
Every portrait begins with your photographs. From these, your horse is carefully hand-drawn before the complete piece is prepared for your review. You’ll receive a detailed proof and the opportunity to refine any details before your final approval. Only then is your piece engraved and brought to life.
Can I request revisions after ordering?
Yes! If you made a typo after ordering or want to make any changes, please contact us. Regardless, we're always in touch with your product mockups before any engraving is started.
If you'd like to change the animal or reference photo for your portrait, please contact us immediately after placing your order. Once our artist begins the illustration, we can no longer switch to a different animal. At that stage, only adjustments or refinements to the existing portrait can be made.
How long does production and delivery take?
To give each portrait the time and attention it deserves, we release a limited number of portrait commissions each month.
Throughout the process, you’ll receive a detailed proof for review before engraving begins. Once approved, your piece will be carefully engraved and finished. Most commissions are completed within a few weeks, though timing may vary depending on the piece and current commission schedule.
What if my product arrives damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives damaged or with an engraving error that’s our fault, we’ll make it right. Contact us within 72 hours of delivery and we'll be in touch.
